SDGs Field Study: Past and present of Hokkaido-History of Ishikari and Sorachi- was held.
September 4-September 11, 8 students (from India, Bulgaria, China, and Japan) participated in lectures, discussions, and learned about the history of the Ainu people, Hokkaido’s pioneer days, the heyday of herring fishing, and the history of the Akabira coal mine.
The weather was fine all day, and as the training progressed, the students began to interact with each other in English, making it a valuable experience for them to communicate with each other, taking into account each other’s language and culture.
