About contents of the dispatch program

It was a good experience that I could not only learn the related field such as research presentations and workshops, but also spend a daily life such as shopping in the local supermarket and exploring the city. Also it was a great experience and became a good memories to go out to local shops and drink together with local students with their help outside of the program.

 About learning outcomes

Giving a presentation in English in the research presentation made me think about capturing a wider point of view of the significance of my own research. Listening to presentations of other students whose point of view were different from Japanese have widen my point of view that had been narrowed among Japanese commonsense or popularity in the laboratory work. In the workshop carried out with students of other countries, I have experienced a creation of work making full use of drawings and diagrams to tell my intention because we couldn’t understand each other.

During the workshop, I was able to be aware of myself playing the role that I had acquired from the experience in my own country such as indicating the case of the construction in Japan and expressing an opinion.

About experiences abroad

I felt the importance of English as a common language. On the other hand, I experienced to realize that I could get it through if I had a will that I wanted to tell my intention.

Regarding architecture, I felt a part that was different from my sense of architecture work such as importance of design, whereas I emphasized importance on programs and systems, and interior space in Japan when I worked on a graduation work or students work.

On the other hand, in the conversation when I went to the restaurant, I felt that it was common for architectural students to strongly prefer the “intention-penetrated concept” for the architectural space, and that made me think about opportunity to learn architecture across the countries.

The impact on the future career

I started to think about learning language aggressively to tell my opinion to others rather than language learning for grade. In addition, knowledge of architecture overseas made me feel that I wanted to experience and learn more of it.  I feel that I would like to visit there again and study architecture if I have an opportunity and a proper conditions.

Other

Through this program, I’ve got many motivations, reasons, and things that I want to learn, also I’ve made friends who I want to see again. It was a really great experience for my student life.

I’d like to show my gratitude to whom have supported me in this program. Thank you very much.
