“SDGs Field Study: Design School in Northern Region (NJE3)” was held.
From July 22 to July 25, “SDGs Field Study: Design School in Northern Region (NJE3)” was held. A total of 23 students, including Hokkaido University students and international students, participated in the program.
On the first day, Prof. Ivo Martinac of the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden gave an online lecture titled “Energy Efficiency in Buildings (with Focus on Cold Climates) -Benefits and Challenges”.
During the fieldwork, participants visited The Royal Park Canvas Sapporo Odori Park, The Hokkaido FM Center, Air Water Innovation Hub, and Tree Base (KI-NINARU BLDG.) to observe cutting-edge design in Sapporo.
Additionally, we invited Dr. Carmen Antuña Rozado from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland to deliver a valuable lecture titled “A look at regional climate resilience in Europe. Specific examples from Nordic regions.”
On the final day, participants divided into groups and presented summaries of the four-day program.
