Lecture NJE3

“SDGs Field Study: Past and Present of Hokkaido – History of Ishikari and Sorachi – (NJE3)” was held.

From September 3 to September 10, “SDGs Field Study: Past and Present of Hokkaido (NJE3)” was held. A total of 13 students, including Hokkaido University students and international students, participated in the program.

During the fieldwork, participants visited Hokkaido Museum, Historical Village of Hokkaido, the Otaru City General Museum, the Bank of Japan Otaru Museum, Asahikawa City Museum, Kawamura Kaneto Aynu Memorial Museum, Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, and Megmilk Snow Brand Museum.  

From the settlement history of Hokkaido to the history that laid the foundation for modern Hokkaido, this opportunity provided participants a valuable opportunity to see, experience, and learn about Hokkaido history firsthand.

On the final day, participants discussed summaries of the six-days program.
