SDGs Field study: Design School in Northern Region was held.

From July 21 to 24, the course “SDGs Field study: Design School in Northern Region (NJE3)” was held. Students from Hokkaido University and Hokkaido Summer Institute participated in the course. On the first day, students participated in the workshop, “Hinanjyo Unei Game (HUG)”, where they learned about the operation of evacuation shelters during disasters. During the fieldwork, they toured various facilities at Hokkaido University and visited New Nikken Hokkaido Office to learn about architectural design in Sapporo.
In addition, Specially Appointed Associate Professor Takano Daichi from Campus Management Division, and Dr. Carmen Antuña Rozado from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland delivered valuable lectures.
On the final day, the students presented summaries of the four-day program.
